Skype is a little piece of free software you can download which lets you make calls to other members using a PC, a microphone and speakers. It's called Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP). The calls are completely free and really excellent quality. You can even call landlines and mobile phones at really cheap per minute rates (and there’s no setup or subscription fee).
It just works. No worries Skype works on most kinds of computers — Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and Pocket PCs.
Skype automatically encrypts calls and chats before sending it through the internet so no-one can intercept your call or text.
Once you've downloaded and installed Skype, enter your Skype Username in the box below and click "Update". This will add the necessary contact buttons against your profile. Other members can then make contact with you directly either using Skype or Skype Chat. Remember to enter your Skype Username carefully.
