What are SMS text alerts?
SMS text alerts are SMS messages sent to your mobile phone informing you when there is activity with your profile. There are 5 SMS Text Alerts to choose from. You can also select particular times, day or night, that you wish to receive your SMS. Click here to take a look at our SMS settings page and the SMS Alerts currently available.
What is a Direct SMS message?
A Direct SMS message is a text message sent directly to your chosen mobile, originating from another member using the Direct SMS service on our website. Don't worry, they DO NOT know your mobile phone number. Our system forwards the message to you by using your unique membership ID (Hidden).
What'll appear on my mobile when I receive a Direct SMS Message or SMS Alert?
Currently the number "21870000" will appear on your mobile. We're in the process of changing this to be something more identifiable, such as "TSD SMS", so please don't delete your messages or alerts by mistake. Our Direct SMS Messages starts with "From : [Senders Membership ID], whilst an SMS Alert message starts with "TSD SMS Alert".
How do I send a Direct SMS Message to another member?
Firstly, this feature is only available to Essential members
To send a Direct SMS message to another member, simply click on the following symbol, which you'll find at the bottom of the members profile
Will my mobile phone number be given out to anyone?
Your mobile number is kept private and confidential and is never given to third parties. That's a promise.
I seem to have been sent a duplicate SMS Alert?
You'll receive an alert each time there is activity on your profile and the activity is of a nature which you've requested you be alerted to. E.g. If a member sends you 2 messages then you will receive 2 alerts looking the same. Most of our SMS Alerts contained information such as time and dates of activity, so they're unlikely to be the same.
I don't seem to be receiving any Direct SMS or SMS Alerts?
If you're not receiving any SMS, please check the following :-
- Your SMS Settings by clicking here. Look at the SMS setting options you've selected. Check the times you've selected and the ones you wish to receive. SMS messages can sometimes be delayed depending on how busy the network is.
- Check how many SMS you have left. Look at the answer to the next question or look in your side menu under "Your Profile" if you're logged in.
- Unfortunately it could also mean there has been no activity with your profile. Time to make some first moves, perhaps!
How do I know how many SMS text messages I have left?
Easy, have a look in the side menu under "Your Membership", or click here and it should say at the top of the page or check below :-

How can I buy more SMS text messages?
SMS texts are available to buy in bundles and can only be purchased online with your credit or debit card. You'll need to register your mobile number before you can buy SMS. Click here to buy SMS texts now! We give 3 FREE when you first register so that you can try the service first. These can be used for either Direct SMS or receiving SMS Alerts.
I have changed my mobile phone number, what do I do?
You can change your mobile number at anytime by logging in, clicking "Your Profile" on the side menu, then clicking Edit My SMS Settings.
How can I stop receiving Direct SMS Messages and/or SMS Alerts?
You can stop receiving Direct SMS Messages and/or SMS Alerts by logging in, clicking "Your Profile" on the side menu, then clicking Edit My SMS Settings and unticking all the boxes. We DO NOT have a system for actually removing your number from our database.
